About Lyndsey
Lyndsey (Medders) Fennelly is an impassioned student, teacher, and basketball skill trainer whose vision is to inspire people to be their BEST, both on and off the court. She is a leader who happens to coach basketball and is one of the most sought after skill development teachers in the country, leading 7 Georges Niang Basketball Camps and 3 Naz Mitrou-Long Camps, as well as the Audi Crooks Basketball Camp in 2025. Lyndsey’s philantrhopic efforts were highlighted for the 6 years she directed the Georges Niang Charity Golf Outing, raising over $750,000 for 6 charities throughout central Iowa.
Lyndsey’s coaching career began when she was 13-years-old and assisted her youth coaches in the various sports camps. During her four years as Iowa State, Lyndsey served as a coach with the All-Iowa-Attack AAU basketball program, where she coached teams in tournaments, led practices, directed summer camps, and organized tournaments. Now, Elite 360 Training helps players year-round.
She earned All-American honors at Iowa State University and led the NCAA in assists during the 2006 – 2007 season. Lyndsey was named as one of the top five point guards in the United States (by ESPN) and was selected by the Indiana Fever in the second round of the WNBA draft. She was recently named to the Iowa State Hall of Fame 2024 Induction Class.
She has had numerous opportunities to continue her playing career at the pro level, but her love of teaching led her to become a full-time course director with PGC Basketball from 2007 – 2011. Since training athletes beginning in 2007, Lyndsey has worked with over 40,000 athletes across North America.
Lyndsey graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management. She has completed numerous leadership-training courses, including Dale Carnegie’s “Effective Communication and Human Relations”, as well as a certified John Maxwell trainee. Lyndsey has served as the color commentator for Mediacom Connections, a cable television company that broadcasts Iowa State’s women’s basketball team’s home games.
She continues to provide leadership counsel, training, and speaking opportunities to organizations, teams, and programs. She co-started (2017) and then sold (2020) CampusCycle, her beat-driven spin studio. And in 2025, Lyndsey sold her Overtime basketball facility, an 8,000 square foot building she created to serve the needs of hundreds of youth in central Iowa.
Since expanding her speaking roles in 2018, Lyndsey has shared her message with over 25,000 people, and for over 250 events.
Lyndsey currently resides in Ames, Iowa with her husband, Billy Fennelly, an Assistant Coach for the Iowa State University women’s basketball program. They are passionately involved in a variety of charities and community outreach events throughout the year.
Lyndsey & Billy's greatest teamwork was becoming parents in May of 2014 to a gym-loving boy, Will. And in October of 2017 added a beautiful baby girl, Callie, to the team.
